The 1753-IB16XOB8 is a digital input/output module that can be used with GuardPLC controllers. It has 16 digital inputs, 8 two-pole digital outputs, and 2 pulsed outputs .

This module is configurable as either an input or output and can connect up to 3 chassis. It includes optional coupling with 30 I/O modules and can interface up to 63 modules by the communication module for as many as 252 I/O points per network . The 1753-IB16XOB8 comes with DeviceLogix technology and with densities ranging between 2 to 8 points powered from the backplane
